School boy errors

With the SPL results going the way they did yesterday, Aberdeen found themselves only 6 points ahead of bottom club Falkirk, making today's home game against St Jonstone even more important if they did not want to be dragged into a relegation battle. Although St Johnstone started the better team Darren Mackie scored his 2nd goal in 2 games to pus us 1 up and I felt we really had to go on from there and finish the game off.
But within 9 minutes we found ourselves 2-1 down thanks to 2 very basic errors. One from Jamie Langfield when he came out into a crowded penalty area to get a ball he had no chance of getting and let Kenny Deuchars header loop over him. Then a few minutes later it was another school boy error from Zander Diamond when instead of hoofing the ball out of danger tried to head the ball along the ground.
Aberdeen could have had a penalty when St Johnstone handled just inside the box, but the ref gave a free kick on the edge of the box, but even still the performance we put in we got what we deserved, although I am sure Mark Mcghee will use it as an excuse as he seems happy to blame everyone but himself.
I now fear for next weeks game against Falkirk and really wonder if Mark Mcghee should even be the man incharge for the next 5 vital games.
The crowd was the lowest Pittodrie crowd of the season and that can only get worse.
Mcghee looks to be out of Idea's, especially when he is bringing on (and no disrespect for the lad who did nothing wrong) a kid who is still at high school in a time when we need to be winning games. Maybe it shows our lack of depth in the squad, but then you have to wonder why Macguire was allowed to go away on loan.
Let the relegation battle begin
