Aberdeen still had some very slim hope's going into the Easter Sunday game against Killie of finishing in the top 6.
How Ironic that the man who steadied the ship and made us a constanstant top 6 team over the last 5 or 6 years was the man who halted that run and condemned us to a relegation battle.
Aberdeen hardly threatened and Killie looked like the team who wanted the 3 points more.
In my opinion the 1st goal should not of stood because the player Grassi was trying to stop the ball getting to when he scored the own goal was a mile offside so how was he not interfering with play, but even still it was no more than Killie deserved.
We are lucky we had a good spell earlier in the season or we might be in even more trouble as the teams we struggle against are the teams who battle and shut up shop at the back, and those are the teams we will be facing in the final 5 games of the season.
I really cannot see us going down but this season has been a backward step of major proportion's. We keep hearing that it is a transitional season. Normally that means taking a struggling team and taking time to make them better, not taking a top 6 team and turning them into relegation battlers.
Many of the Aberdeen faithfull are fast losing patience with Mark Mcghee and it would not suprise me to see him gone by the end of the season. This season maybe over but next season will be crucial whether Mcghee is still here or not. Another season like this and the fans who have stuck with the team through thick and thin may never return.
Ibrox is the next stop for the dour Dons and I can't see them getting anything but a hammering from the champions in waiting.
